Use a 6 mm bit to drill two holes in the ceiling.
You can use the lower part / base of the smoke alarm

as a template.

Insert the dowels into the holes.
7.
Use the screws supplied to attach the base of the alarm
to the ceiling.
8.
Place the face of the alarm onto the lower part and lock it
into place by turning it clockwise.
9.
A smoke alarm is fitted with a safety mechanism that prevents
the device clicking into place when no battery is inserted.
