    5 - OPERATION • The rear derailleur is a component of the drivetrain of the bicycle which shifts the chain on the sprockets to obtain dif- ferent final drive ratios between crankset and wheel (the parts of the rear derailleur are shown in Fig.

    To store the new setting, press the MODE button on the Ergopower EPS controls briefly (D - Fig. 2). At this point, the interface LED flashes 3 times and then turns off. Once the procedure is complete, the system will modify the positions for all the spro- ckets, using a correction equivalent to that set again in the setting stage.

    Resetting the rear derailleur to zero is a particularly delicate operation and must be carried out when the bicycle is stationary and placed on a stand. This is why it should be conducted only and exclusively by a Campagnolo Service Center, a Campagnolo Pro-Shop or a mechanic specialised in mounting EPS groupsets.
  • Page 37 5.3 - DISENGAGEMENT MECHANISM In the case of a fall or accidental impact, the rear derailleur “disengagement” mechanism may activate. If this has happened, the rear derailleur does not move down to the smallest sprockets and certainly not to the 1st sprocket.   • Page 38 5.4 - "RIDE BACK HOME" FUNCTION If the battery charge runs out while riding or a problem occurs with rear derailleur operation, the "disengagement" mechanism of the rear derailleur can be used to position the rear derailleur on the preferred sprocket. If you think that the battery charge is about to run out, try to use the smallest sprockets so that you can then use all the sprockets higher than the current rear derailleur position when the battery runs out.

  • Page 53 5 - FUNKTIONSWEISE • Das Schaltwerk ist die Komponente des Antriebssystems des Fahrrads, die die Bewegung der Kette auf den Ritzeln ermöglicht, um unterschiedliche Übersetzungsverhältnisse zwischen Kettenradgarnitur und Laufrad zu erhal- ten (die Teile, aus denen das Schaltwerk besteht, sind in Abb. 1 dargestellt).   • Page 54 Mit dem Anpassungsverfahren kann die Re- ferenzposition des Schaltwerks angepasst werden, was besonders nützlich ist, wenn ein Laufradwechsel durchgeführt werden soll, welcher ein Ritzelpaket aufweist, das sich anders zum Ausfallende positioniert. Um die Anpassung des Schaltwerks dur- chzuführen, die Taste MODE (D - Abb. 2), die sich auf dem rechten EPS-Schaltgriff Ergopower befindet, ca.

Sobald das Verfahren abgeschlossen ist, führt das System eine Änderung der vorge- sehenen Positionen für alle Ritzel durch, mit einer entsprechenden Korrektur der bei der Anpassung vorgenommenen Neueinstellungen.
  • Page 56 Die Nullstellung des Schaltwerks ist ein speziell heikler Vorgang und muss im Stillstand ausgeführt werden, wobei das Fahrrad aufgebockt werden muss. Aus diesem Grund darf dieser Vorgang ausschließlich von einem Campagnolo- Service Center, einem Campagnolo-Pro-Shop oder einem in der Montage von EPS-Schaltgruppen spezialisierten Fahrradmechaniker durchgeführt werden.
  • Page 57 5.3 - AUSKUPPELMECHANISMUS Im Falle eines Sturzes oder eines ungewollten Schlags auf das Schaltwerk, kann es vor- kommen, dass der „Auskuppelmechanismus“ aktiviert wird. In diesem Fall schaltet das Schaltwerk nicht auf die kleineren Ritzel herunter und schaltet auf keinen Fall auf den 1. Ritzel herunter.
  • Page 58 5.4 - FUNKTION „RIDE BACK HOME“ Falls die Batterieladung „auf der Straße“ aufgebraucht wird oder ein Problem mit der Funktion des Schaltwerks auftritt, kann der „Auskuppelmechanismus“ des Schaltwerks benutzt werden, um das Schaltwerk auf dem gewünschten Ritzel zu positionieren. Wenn Sie feststellen, dass die Batterieladung fast aufgebraucht ist, versuchen Sie, die klei- neren Ritzel zu verwenden, um später alle Ritzel benutzen zu können, die über demjenigen liegen, auf dem das Schaltwerk positioniert ist, wenn sich die Batterie entlädt.
