4 Connection
Any connections must only be made with the monitor
switched off. Fig. 4 on page 3 shows an example for
connection.
1) Connect the signal sources (e. g. surveillance
camera, video recorder) via phono plugs to the
audio and video inputs:
source 1 to the audio and video inputs 1 (6),
source 2 to the audio and video inputs 2 (5);
connect the video output of the respective source to
the yellow jack VIDEO IN and its audio output to the
white jack AUDIO IN.
The signal sources can be supplied with
power via the two low-voltage jacks DC2X12V
OUT (4) of the monitor. It is required that the signal
source used operates with a voltage of 12 V
does not exceed a current consumption of 250 mA
as a maximum. For connection, use a plug with the
dimensions 5.5/2.1 mm (outside/inside diameter).
The positive pole must be at the centre contact.
2) Via the audio and video outputs (7) it is possible
to pass on the fed-through input signals, e. g. to
another monitor or to a video recorder. Via phono
plugs connect the yellow jack VIDEO OUT to the
video input of the respective unit and the white jack
AUDIO OUT to its audio input.
3) For power supply of the monitor connect the sup-
plied plug-in power supply unit to the low-voltage
jack DC 13.5V IN (8) and to a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).
Note: If the monitor is not used for a longer period,
disconnect the power supply unit from the mains
socket because it will have a current consumption
even with the monitor switched off.
5 Operation
1) With the selector switch (14) set the monitor to the
video standard by which the signal source used
operates:
With a signal source according to European stan-
dard CCIR (50 frames/s), disengage the button.
With a signal source according to American stan-
dard EIA (60 frames/s), press the button.
2) Switch on the monitor with the switch POWER (1).
3) After switching-on, the monitor is always in the oper-
ating mode CH1. With the button SELECT (3) it is
possible to select the desired operating mode from
the three modes; each time the button is pressed,
the next mode is selected:
CH1 channel 1 (audio and video reproduction of
signal source 1)
CH2 channel 2 (audio and video reproduction of
signal source 2)

The selected mode is shown by the corresponding
LED (2).
4) Adjust an optimum picture with the contrast control
CONT (12) and the brightness control BRIGHT
(13).
5) In case of rolling of the picture (see
figure on the right), adjust a stable
picture with the control V-HOLD
(11).
6) Adjust the volume with the control VOL (9). If the
audio function is not used, turn the control counter-
clockwise up to the stop.
7) After operation, switch off the monitor with the but-
ton POWER.
Note: Signal sources which are connected to the
12 V power supply jacks (4) are still supplied with
power even with the monitor switched off. To
switch them off, disconnect them from the 12 V
power supply on the monitor or disconnect the
power supply unit from the mains socket.
