your charger is working properly by processing a number of variables and
maximizing the performance of the clipper as well as the battery life.
• Do not recharge or store this unit near radiators or other
heat sources or where exposed to strong sunlight.
• It is not recommended to attempt charging
in a wet or extremely humid place.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

The rechargeable batteries contained in this unit will eventually deplete with
repeated use. Please follow these instructions when replacng the batteries.
1. The batteries are nickel metal hydride batteries. These must
be recycled or disposed of properly. Do not dispose of these
batteries in your regular garbage pick up.
2. Replace old batteries with a new Oster
(78400-101-051).
3. Brand new batteries may not reach thier full capacity until they
have experienced three to five complete charge/discharge cycles
Until that occurs, operating time may be somewhat reduced.
4. Do not short circuit the battery (i.e. connecting postive and negative
terminals via a conductive material). This generates heat and may cause injury.
5. Do not attempt to disassemble the battery pack. The battery pack is not
user serviceable.
OPERATING THE CLIPPER
1. Remove the plastic blade guard covering the teeth of the blade.
2. Disperse a few drops of clipper oil (included) across the
blades. Wipe off excess oil with a clean, dry cloth.
3. If batteries are fully charged, simply turn the clipper switch on and begin
using unit. If the batteries are discharged completely, or if the batteries
become weak or die during use, they should be recharged. Simply turn
switch on battery pack to "off" position and place battery into charger pocket.
Note: Battery does not need to be removed from clipper, but can be if desired.
4. When finished using or any time clipper is returned to craddle, turn
the switch off to begin recharging (see recharging instructions).
