Baking
Bake is used to cook cakes, cookies, and casseroles. Always preheat the oven first.
Baking temperatures and times will vary depending on the ingredients and the
size and shape of the baking pan used. Dark or nonstick coatings may cook faster
with more browning.

NOTE
Place food in the oven after preheating if the recipe calls for it.
Preheating is very important for good results when baking cakes, cookies,
pastry, and breads. After the oven has reached the desired temperature, the
oven will beep 3 times.
If you are using an oven thrmometer in the oven cavity, the temperature
registered by the thermometer may differ from the actual set oven
temperature.
Rotate the mode selector knob from
OFF to the Bake position, and then turn
the temperature selector knob from
OFF to set the baking temperature. You
can set the temperature from LO to
550 °F (285 °C).
Let the oven preheat. The temperature
display will start to change once the
oven temperature reaches 150 °F.
When preheating is complete, place
the food on the desired rack. Close the
oven door.
When baking is complete, turn both
knobs to the OFF position.
