4.4.1. Battery Pack
The 64050625 battery pack is designed to provide from 7 VDC to 12 VDC to power an intrinsically
safe terminal. If the battery fails to operate the terminal, disconnect the battery and move it to a safe
area and fully charge it (approximately 6.5 hours). After fully charging the battery, test the output
voltage. Refer to Figure 4-4 and Table 4-3 for the pin designations of the battery pack. If the voltage
is below 7 VDC, check the operation of the charger.
If the battery is fully charged to 12 VDC, reconnect the battery to the terminal and check operation. If
the terminal still does not operate, the terminal may need service. Refer to the service manual of the
terminal for further troubleshooting assistance.

TESTING THE BATTERY VOLTAGE. DO NOT TEST BATTERY VOLTAGE WITHIN A HAZARDOUS
AREA.
