Before Starting the Unit

Operating Zone

• See Figure 3-1. Stand in operator areas (A) when-
ever operating this unit.
• Stay in the operator areas at all times when the
ram is in motion.
• Never place any part of your body into a position
that causes an unsafe operating condition.

Starting the Motor

1. Position the unit on a flat, dry surface and chock
the wheels or screw down the frame stand to pre-
vent the unit from moving during use.
2. Plug the unit into a properly grounded 20, GFCI
protected outlet.
3. See Figure 3-2. Push toggle switch (A) into the ON
position

Stopping the Motor

See Figure 3-2. Push toggle switch (A) to OFF position.

Resetting the Circuit Breaker

See Figure 3-2. If the motor will not run when the power
switch is turned on and power is connected to the
machine, the circuit breaker switch may need resetting.
Push circuit breaker switch (B) to reset.

Handling Wood

WARNING
Equipment damage. Do not overload the log splitter.
Do not attempt to split logs beyond the units
capability. Doing so could result in serious injury or
equipment damage.
WARNING
Personal injury. Do not reach or step across the
beam while the log splitter is running. Doing so
could result in death or serious injury.
