LOADING
Depress the magazine lock. The magazine can
then be pulled out. After loading, push home the
magazine. The magazine will then be automatical-
ly locked in its home position.
STAPLING
Rapid 90 staples automatically when the object to
be stapled is entered in the machine jaws and
actuates the trigger. The stapling depth, i.e. the
position in wich the staples are inserted, can be
adjusted by
moving the trigger. Depress the control on the left-
hand side of the machine and move it to the des-
ired position on the scale.
The scale presents the distance between the sta-
ple and the edge of the paper.
Change of anvil to outword stapling:
Press the pin just under the anvil on the bottom of
the stapler and tum 180°.
EMERGENCY STOP (safety catch)
If attempts are made to staple harder or thicker
objects than those for which the machine is desig-
ned the machine may jam. In this case a buzzing
noise will be heard, due to the fact that the current
has not been broken.
MOVE THE SAFETY CATCH BACKWARDS
IMMEDIATELY! The safety catch is located on the
right-hand side of the machine. It is red and is
marked PRESS.
OPERATIONAL DISTURBANCES
Rapid 90 is designed to withstand intensive and
lengthy operation. Should operational disturban-
ces occur despite this, the cause must be investi-
gated.
