This may significantly reduce vibration and noise emissions
over the total working period.
Implement additional safety measures to protect the oper-
ator from the effects of vibration, such as servicing the
power tool and application tools, keeping their hands warm,
and organising workflows correctly.
Assembly
Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any
u
work on the power tool.
Selecting the saw blade
Only use saw blades that are suitable for the material you are going to cut. The saw blade should not be longer than required
for the cut you want to make.

Inserting the saw blade (see figure A)
Use only clean saw blades. Make sure that the saw
u
blade receptacle is free of chips and sawdust.
Note AdvancedCut 50: It is only possible to insert the saw
blade at a mitre/bevel angle of 0°.
Use the locking lever (6) to open the cover (7) of the saw
blade receptacle. Push the saw blade (8) through the open-
ing in the base plate (3) and insert the saw blade into the
saw blade receptacle (16). Make sure that the drive shaft
and the end of the saw blade fit in the recess on the saw
blade receptacle (16).
Close the cover of the saw blade receptacle and lock it with
the locking lever. The locking lever must audibly engage
twice.
The chain of the saw blade is automatically tensioned.
If the chain slips through or becomes detached from the
guide unit, open and close the cover (7) of the saw blade re-
ceptacle.
Removing the saw blade
Open the locking lever (6) fully open the cover (7) of the saw
blade receptacle. Remove the saw blade.
Anti-splinter guard (see figure B)
The anti-splinter guard (17) (accessory) can prevent splin-
tering of the surface while sawing wood. It can only be used
at a cutting angle of 0°.
A saw blade (8) must be inserted to assemble the anti-
splinter guard (17).
Push the anti-splinter guard into the base plate (3) from be-
low. It is also possible to insert the anti-splinter guard into a

Inserting/changing the saw blade
When fitting or changing the saw blade, wear protect-
u
ive gloves. Blades are sharp and can become hot when
used for prolonged periods of time.
Take care not to hold the power tool close to the on/
u
off switch when changing the saw blade. There is risk
of injury from unintentionally pressing the on/off switch.
Avoid contact with the skin when changing a saw
u
blade and use protective gloves in perfect condition.
The saw blade can become hot when in operation for a
long time.
Do not pull on the chain and do not pull the chain off
u
the guide unit.
Always replace a complete saw blade with another complete
saw blade. The chain cannot be replaced on its own.

fitted depth stop (18) or (19) or the hood (20) of the dust
extraction system.
The anti-splinter guard can also be disassembled when the
saw blade is removed.
Depth stop (see figure C)
The depth stop changes the cutting depth of the saw blade.
Depth stops can only be used at a mitre/bevel angle of 0°.
Depth stops (18) (A) and (19) (B) can be fitted individually
or one top of each other depending on the required cutting
depth.
Push the required depth stop (adapter A or adapter B) into
the base plate (3) from below.
When sawing, always push the rear end of the base plate (3)
onto the workpiece being sawn.
Dust/Chip Extraction
The dust from materials such as lead paint, some types of
wood, minerals and metal can be harmful to human health.
Touching or breathing in this dust can trigger allergic reac-
tions and/or cause respiratory illnesses in the user or in
people in the near vicinity.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are classified as
carcinogenic, especially in conjunction with wood treatment
additives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials contain-
ing asbestos may only be machined by specialists.
– Use a dust extraction system that is suitable for the ma-
terial wherever possible.
– Provide good ventilation at the workplace.
– It is advisable to wear a P2 filter class breathing mask.
