3. Installing the Camera

Test the reception at the mounting location prior to the actual installation. Have someone hold the camera in place
while someone else checks the reception quality on the monitor. Read "Troubleshooting" on p. 4 in case or
interference or other problems. Choose a different mounting location if the problems persist.
Power Supply
The camera operates on AA batteries or AC mains power:
Remove the cover of the battery compartment. Insert the batteries while paying attention to the polarity indications!
Close the battery compartment. Tips : remove the batteries in case of prolonged inactivity and never mix old and new
batteries.
When using AC mains power : Connect the jack at the back of the camera with a wall outlet using the included 9V
DC adapter.
Put the POWER switch in the ON position. The LED at the back of the camera lights up.
Aiming the Lens
Place the camera in a suitable location, aim the lens and manipulate the lens body carefully in order to set the
viewing angle. The auto focus function automatically adjusts the focus of the picture.
The camera head can rotate 200° horizontally and 30° vertically. The lens is built into a lens body that can rotate
180° vertically. Do not use excessive force when turning the lens body to avoid severe damage to the camera.

Fine-Tuning

Adjust the antenna so that the front is facing the monitor (see "Orienting the Camera and the Monitor" on p. 3).

4. Installing the Monitor

Power Supply
The camera works on C-batteries or on AC mains power :
Remove the cover of the battery compartment. Insert the batteries while paying attention to the polarity indications.
Close the battery compartment. Tips : remove the batteries in case of prolonged inactivity and never mix old and new
batteries.
When using AC mains power : Connect the jack at the back of the monitor with a wall outlet using the included 13.5V
DC adapter.
Place the POWER switch in the ON position. The LED on the monitor's front panel lights up.
Fine-Tuning
Adjust the picture on the monitor if necessary with the V-HOLD, CONTRAST and BRIGHTNESS adjustments at the
back of the monitor. Place the receiver in a suitable location and aim the antenna in such a way that the front is
facing the camera (see "Orienting the Camera and the Monitor" on p. 3).
