5.5 Sterilization
Autoclave sterilization is recommended.
Sterilization is required fi rst time you use and after each patient as noted below.
Autoclave procedure:
– Insert into an autoclave pouch. Seal the pouch.
– Autoclavable up to a max.135°C.
ex.) Autoclave for 20min. at 121°C, or 15min at 132°C.
Sterilization at 121°C for more than 15 minutes is recommended by EN13060 or EN ISO17665-1.
CAUTION
– Always place the handpiece in the center or upper shelf of the chamber, as the local temperature at the bottom
of chamber could rise beyond the set value.
– Do not autoclave the handpiece even when it is bagged, together with other instruments, from which chemicals
are not su ciently cleaned . This is to avoid discoloration and/or damage to the coating of the handpiece.
– Do not heat or cool the handpiece quickly. Rapid change in temperature could break the glass rod and give
abnormal strain to other metals.
– The handpiece is kept in suitable atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, ventilation, and sunlight. Moreo-
ver,air does not include dust, salt and sulfur.
– We do not recommend you to sterilize by plasma sterilization or EOG sterilization.

6. Warranty
CFPM grants the user a 12 months guarantee for its complete product range, except ball bearings
(3 months guarantee) from the date of invoice issued. Maintenance over the term of guarantee will be at the
customer 's charge.
CFPM will not be responsible for damage or injury resulting from:
– Excessive use
– Improper manipulation of the product, or modifi cation to product carried out by persons not authorizes by CFPM.
– Failure to follow the instructions for installation, operation and maintenance of the handpiece.
– Damage of chemical, electrical or electrolysis due to improper autoclaving and storing.
– Improper working pressure.
The technical specifi cations and dimension in these instruction are given only as a guide. They may not be subject
of any claim.
