• Guide the control cable s through the back or cable gland of the
housing. Tighte n the cable gland.
• Make the prope r conne ctions to the te rm inals (see §5).
Note:
o to facilitate the conne ctions of the wiring, lift the se nsor
assem bly from the housing.
o To do this, re lease the 4 scre ws [L] (2 large ones on top, 2
small one s near the bottom).
o Afte r m ak ing all conne ctions ge ntly re seat the se nsor assem bly
and put the 4 scre ws back .
• Attach the housing to the m ounting bracke t and se cure it with the
t wo mounting bolts [J].
• Apply powe r to the syste m. The alignme nt LED [D] will turn red
since no re fle ctor is de te cted.
• Place the re fle ctor in line with the transm itte r/re ce ive r le ns [C ]
until the alignm ent LED [D] turns gree n. Mark the position of the
re fle ctor and m ount it in that location.
• Note : the le ns can be aligned horizontally (±25°) by rotating the
e ntire le ns head (do not force ) or ve rtically using the ve rtical
alignme nt bolt [F].
• C lose the cove r [H] with the 4 scre ws and slide the hood [A] in
place .
• Note : by closing the cove r, the tam pe r switch [E] is pressed and
the tam pe r contact [6]/[7] is closed.
7.
Operation
• W he n the beam be twe e n transm itte r and re ce ive r is broke n, the
alignme nt LED [D] turns re d and an alarm is trigge red on the
output contacts until the beam is restore d:
o [3] - [5]: open contact
o [4] - [5]: closed contact
• W he n the alignme nt LED [D] flashes red and gree n alte rnately an
alignme nt problem occurs. Ope n the cove r and slowly adjust the
horizontal and/or ve rtical angle [F] of the le ns [C ].
• In case somebody opens the cove r, the tam pe r switch [E] is
re leased and the tampe r contact is closed:
o [6] – [7]: closed contact
