the Lock-off Button (20)
Trigger Switch (21)
7. Allow the blade to reach full speed (approx. 2 seconds)
then slowly push the saw forward using both hands
8. Use steady, even pressure when making the cut. Forcing the saw
causes rough cuts and could shorten the life of the saw or cause
kickback. Allow the blade and the saw to do the work
9. After completing the cut, release the trigger switch and allow the
GB
blade to come to a complete stop. Do not remove the saw from the
workpiece while the blade is moving
NOTE. Since blade thickness varies, always make a trial cut in scrap
material along the guideline to determine how much, if any, the
guideline must be offset to get an accurate cut
Using the parallel fence
• T he parallel fence enables you to make repeated
parallel cuts in a sheet of wood, all at the same width
• C heck that the saw is unplugged
from the power supply before fitting
the parallel fence
1. Loosen the Parallel Fence Locking
Knob (8)
2. Slide the Parallel Fence (16)
through the parallel fence slots in
the Baseplate (25) (Fig. H)
3. Adjust the parallel fence to the
required width and secure it in
position by tightening the parallel fence locking knob
NOTE. As you make the cut, keep the parallel fence tight against the
wood along the entire length of the workpiece to give a consistent
parallel cut

Using the laser system
• W ARNING. Read the guidance on laser light safety before using
the laser light system
NOTE. The laser beam is preset to align with the left side of the blade
(closest to the motor)
1. Mark the line of the cut on
the workpiece
2. Adjust the depth of cut and bevel
angle as required
3. Rest the front edge of the base on
the workpiece
4. Switch on the laser beam using the
Laser Light On/Off Button (1) (Fig. I)
5. Align the beam with the line on the workpiece
6. Start the motor by depressing the lock-off button and squeezing the
trigger switch
7. Allow the blade to reach full speed (approx. 2 seconds) before you
begin to cut into the workpiece
8. Slowly push the saw forward using both hands, keeping the laser
beam on the line of cut
9. After completing the cut, release the trigger switch and allow the
blade to come to a complete stop. Do not remove the saw from the
workpiece while the blade is moving
