Battery replacement and disposal:
To change the battery, proceed according to the sequence of drawings
in figures 7 to 11, which describe how to take out the battery. First
remove the cover disc of the lamp by carefully pushing the rubber edge
around the cover disc to one side and then take out the disc (Fig. 7-8).
Then remove the circuit board (Fig. 9) by bending the rubber wall a
little here as well to expose the circuit board. You will find the battery
on the back of the circuit board (Fig. 10). Now you can push the battery
downwards and out (Fig. 11). You can identify the battery type on the
battery (CR 2032 – 3V) (Fig. 12) and on the housing (Fig. 16-17). This
battery is commercially available and can be purchased in any well-
stocked electronics store. In this regard, please note that the battery
may only be replaced by the same equivalent battery type.
To install the new battery, follow the steps for removing the battery in
the reverse order.
Remarks:
The battery may only be replaced by adults.
Be sure to always line up the poles of the battery correctly. Do not
attempt to recharge batteries, and under no circumstances throw them
into fire. Do not use different kinds of batteries (old and new, alkaline
and carbon, etc.) at the same time. Remove the batteries whenever you
are not using the device for a prolonged period of time.
When used improperly, there is a danger that batteries will explode or
leak.
Batteries that leak or are damaged may cause chemical burns if they
touch the skin. For this reason, be sure to wear suitable protective
gloves in this case.
When doing this, please note that batteries are not to be disposed of
in household rubbish (Fig. 14), but instead must be brought to special
collection points, such as your local recycling centre. Devices marked
with this symbol (Fig. 14) are subject to European Directive 2002/96/
EC.
