Congratulations on your greenhouse purchase. This manual requires no prior technical knowledge. Go through the process step by step,
ensuring that the necessary parts and actions are prepared.
Safety and efficiency
Glass is heavy, sharp, and fragile. A ladder is tall and unstable. Aluminium profiles tend to be long and sharp. Be cautious if you are not
accustomed to handling such materials on a daily basis; it is therefore better to keep children away. Safety shoes, safety goggles, and gloves may
help, and are indispensable when installing glass.
Tools:
- two 10mm wrenches
- knife or sturdy scissors
- Phillips-head screwdriver (large)
- flat-blade screwdriver (large)
Accessories available in any DIY store:
- neutral silicone
- quick-drying concrete, for anchoring your greenhouse
Trivia
- Bolt slots are slots into which the head of a bolt fits. Nearly every profile in this greenhouse has 1 or more bolt slots.
- When attaching by means of bolt slots, ensure that the profiles are firmly pressed together.
- Placeholder bolts are bolts that are inserted into a slot in preparation of later assembly, at about ten centimetres from the end of the profile
they temporarily secure nuts.
- A greenhouse consists of 2 façades, 2 sidewalls, and 1 roof.
- When not specified, always use short bolts (M6x10).
Advice
Always use all detailed schematics to help with alignment, truing, and positioning your profile. Pay attention to cross sections and holes. Twist
the nuts onto the bolts by means of 2 turns, and firmly secure the nuts and bolts only after going over the entire page.
