WARNINGS
• The Babyphone must not be seen as a medical appliance. In addition
to using the Babyphone it is strongly recommended that an adult
should examine your baby directly. premature babies or children
considered to be at risk must be examined by your paediatrician or
other health worker.
• Never be far away from your child – even for a short instant.
• Non-rechargeable batteries must not be recharged.
• The rechargeable batteries must be removed from the appliance
before being recharged.
• Do not mix new and used batteries, or rechargeable and alkaline
batteries.
• The rechargeable batteries must only be charged with an adult's
supervision.
• The batteries have to be inserted with the right polarity (+/-).
• Used batteries have to be removed from the appliance.
• The power terminals must not be short-circuited.
• Always use the battery for the receiver supplied by the manufacturer:
if the battery is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
after-sales service, or similarly qualified persons so as to avoid any
danger.
• For optimum use of your babyphone, and to limit any interference,
we recommend that you do not connect any other electric appliance
to the same power point as your babyphone (do not use a multi-socket
adaptor).
TROuBLESHOOTING
Problem
• The transmitter does not transmit.
• The transmitter transmits all the
time.
• The battery low alert does not
go off.
• The charge only lasts for a short
time.
• The loudspeaker produces lots of
feedback and interference.
• The transmitter's
range is too short.
Possible causes
• The receiver is off.
• The sensitivity of the microphone is too low.
• The batteries are uncharged or the mains adapter is not
connected properly.
• The sensitivity of the microphone is too high.
• The batteries are uncharged.
• The battery is damaged.
• The nightlight stays on all the time.
• The vibrator function is on.
• The transmitter is close to other electrical appliances.
• The two appliances are separated by metal structures
• The transmitter's batteries are uncharged.
pRECAuTIONS
• Only use the mains adapters supplied.
The use of other adapters may damage the Babyphone.
• When you do not use the Babyphone for a prolonged period remove all
the batteries from the transmitter and the battery from the receiver to
avoid any damage due to a leaking battery.
• Disconnect the mains adapter from the wall socket when you do not
use the Babyphone.
• The Babyphone works better in a range of temperature between - 9
°C and + 45 °C.
• Do not expose the Babyphone for a prolonged period to direct sunlight
and do not place it next to a heat source or in a damp or very dusty
room.
• Do not dismantle the appliance: it does not contain any parts that can
be used separately.
• Electric and electronic equipment are subject to selective waste
collection. Do not dispose of electric and electronic equipment with
unsorted municipal refuse but have it recycled.
Throughout the European Union this symbol indicates that this
product must not be thrown in the rubbish bin or mixed with
domestic waste but should be sorted for recycling.
• Switch the receiver on.
• Increase the microphone's sensitivity with the button 2.
• Replace the batteries or check the connection.
Decrease the microphone's sensitivity with the button 3 so
that the transmitter reacts to the voice.
• Recharge the battery with the mains adapter
(receiver). Replace the batteries or use the mains
adapter (transmitter).
• Replace the battery with a new battery.
• Switch the nightlight off or set it to VOX.
• Deactivate the vibrator function.
• Move the electrical appliances or change the position
of the transmitter away from the source of interference.
• Change the transmitter's or receiver's position.
• Replace the batteries or use the mains adapter.
