Remove the battery earth cable.
Remove the shelf and the carpet.
Remove the rear trim.
Put the seats in the forward position.
Remove the side trim.
Remove the rear lights.

Drill a 17mm hole in the back of the boot just behind the socketplate.
Carefully remove all metal particles and treat the edges with anti-corrosion paint.
Put the rubber grommet in the hole.
3.
Lead the wiring harness in the boot.
Lead the end of the towbar wiring harness from the inside of the trunk through the grommet, to where the socket should be mounted.
Carefull: hot exhaust!
Pull the rubber coverplate over the end of the wiring harness.
Remove the contact holder from the socket and connect the socket as follows:

Mount the socket to the towbar.

The other wires are connected with scotch-locks to the original wires near the rear light units (see sketch 1).
(Check the functions using a testlight).

Black/brown Right rear light
Blue/red Left brake light
Black/green Right direction indicator
Black/yellow Left direction indicator
Purple/black Left rear light
Black/Red Right reversing light
Mount the white wires on the left side in the rear of the vehicle to the original earthbolt.
