Appendix F: Connecting PTZ Cameras
Configuring PTZ Presets
A PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom camera, not included) preset allows you to configure the camera to move in
a certain position once a preset is configured. For example, you can set the camera to pan to a
hallway (or any position you wish) by selecting a preset.
This may be useful if you have multiple areas to monitor, and want the PTZ camera to quickly pan
to a certain location.
NOTE: Your PTZ camera must support presets for this function to work.
To configure a PTZ preset:
1. Under CAM, select the channel connected to the PTZ camera that you want to configure.
2. Under PRESET, select the desired preset number, starting from 1 (maximum 255 presets).
NOTE: Presets must start from 1, and cannot start from 0.
3. Use the navigation cursors and pan and tilt the camera to the desired location.
4. Configure the ZOOM, FOCUS, IRIS, settings.
5. Click the SET button .
6. Click OK to save your settings .
7. Repeat to create multiple presets.
