    PROPER E-Z TRACK ASSEMBLY ® Great care must be given to assembling track sections! Improper assembly will cause derailments and/or interrupted electrical contact. When assembling the track, snap it together tightly (figure 1), , make sure the rail and rail joiners are seated ND T THE S ME TIME properly as shown in figure 2.

    CONNECTING TRACK POWER Do not plug in the speed controller yet. Turn the speed controller to the position (figure ). Plug the red terminal wire into the “OFF” “output to track” jack of the speed controller as shown in figure .

    SHORT CIRCUITS If your train stops or fails to start, a short circuit may be indicated. . Derailed wheels may cause UNPLUG THE POWER P CK T ONCE a short, so check to make sure all wheels are properly on the track. Check all connections and be sure that no metal of any sort is across the rails (figure 13), including metal-coated tinsel or holiday ornament hooks.

    ACCESSORY CONNECTION Your speed controller is equipped with 16V C terminals that can provide power to accessories on your layout. To attach an accessory, depress the spring-loaded posts to open the terminals. Then, simply insert the accessory wires (one wire per terminal) and release the spring-loaded posts to clamp the wires in place (figure 14).
