Replacing the Battery (continued)
8. To enable the new battery, reconnect the power supply cord to the back of the unit.
The battery will begin to charge. Unit can be operated while it is being charged.
9. For "battery only operation", allow the unit to charge for three (3) hours prior to
use.

Filter Installation and Replacement

The P-Vac features a replaceable filter that is easily installed and removed without any
tools.
1. Make sure the P-Vac is "Off" (Press power button for 3+ seconds). Remove the
DC power cord from the P-Vac.
2. Unscrew the top filter and pull upward. Discard the filter into proper waste
containers depending on the reagents being used.
3. Insert the new filter into the P-Vac by screwing the threaded end into the opening
at the top of the unit. Rotate clockwise until just snug. Then rotate counter
clockwise ¼ turn. Please ensure the filter is aligned properly and that you do not
over-tighten.
4. Reinstall the DC plug into the DC receptacle.
Maintenance, Cleaning & Decontamination
The P-Vac and AC adapter are maintenance free other than occasional cleaning.
To clean, wipe the exterior with a water dampened soft cloth. Do not use abrasives,
caustics or other cleaning products that can damage plastic. There are no user
serviceable parts inside the housing other than the battery.
