Improper handling of the side awning can lead to damage to the side awning or objects of all kinds. Please proceed carefully

during installation and adhere to the installation instructions.
This side awning is classified in wind class 1 with firm anchorage using the enclosed exemplary mounting material. It must be
Ÿ
retracted immediately at wind speeds of 28 km/h and more.
The side awning is for sun/visual and wind protection, NOT all-weather protection. It must be retracted in the event of wind
Ÿ
(above wind class 1, see page 3 under Info) and in the event of storms, as well as in rain and snow.
The side awning must be retracted when the user is not present and in the evening.
Ÿ
The awning may be used up to a maximum of wind force 4 (wind class 1). Definition = wind moves twigs and thinner
Ÿ
branches, raises dust and loose paper. Speed 20-28 km/h = 5.5 -7.9 m/s.
The base plate may only be fastened to a solid and non-detachable surface.

The side awning is made of combustible material. Do not place any cooking or heating equipment near the side awning. Do
Ÿ
not use open fire (e.g. candles, garden torches, grills etc.) near the side awning.
The side awning may only be operated in technically perfect condition as well as in accordance with its intended use and in
Ÿ
compliance with this manual in terms of safety and awareness. Malfunctions that could impair safety must be fixed
immediately.
Because this is a spring-loaded product, the lock must always be firmly set to prevent the tension unit from recoiling!

Improper anchorage can lead to damage to objects of all kinds as well as persons.
Ÿ
Keep the side awning free of foreign objects.
Ÿ
If the side awning must be dissembled for good reason, the tensioned parts must be completely relaxed.

Before drilling, the selected attachment point should be checked for hidden electrical, water, gas or other lines.

Particular care should be taken when installing the side awning on insulated brickwork, as the thermal insulation
Ÿ
requirements reduce the attachment strength of the fasteners.
Before putting the side awning into operation, remove all objects (e.g. tools, chairs, etc.) that are located in the operation area
Ÿ
of the side awning. Persons may not stay in this area during the tests; there is a risk of malfunction and/or incorrect operation.
Make sure that children and persons who cannot properly assess the risk of misuse or misappropriation do not use the side
Ÿ
awning unattended.
Keep small parts away from children! Choking hazard!

Keep plastic bags away from small children! Suffocation hazard!
Ÿ
Keep infants away from the side awning as they may try to pull themselves up or climb up on it.
Ÿ
Do not touch any moving parts.

Automatic awning retraction can lead to clamping injuries. Make sure that clothes or body parts are not caught in and

retracted with the awning.
Never release the tension unit before locking or before fully retracting the side awning.
Ÿ
Make sure the awning is securely locked in place.
Ÿ
Information about the fabric
Due to the demands placed on it during use and the manufacturing process, the awning fabric may display certain
characteristics. These characteristics neither reduce the quality of the awning fabric nor its suitability for use.
Creases occur during manufacturing and when folding the awning fabric. Wrinkled areas may be darker, especially with bright

colors.
Chalking effects can arise during manufacturing and may be appear as light streaks.
Ÿ
Ripples in the seam and seam area can be produced due to the multiple layers of the awning fabric while it is being wound
Ÿ
onto the shaft.
The awning is water-repellent during light and short rainfalls due to the coated fabric.
Ÿ
The awning must be retracted during heavy or extended rainfall to avoid damage. Awnings that are retracted while wet must
Ÿ
be extended as soon as possible so they can dry completely.
