Replacing fuse

WARNING
Substituting an incorrect fuse or a piece of
wire could allow excessive current flow.
This could cause electric system damage
and a fire hazard.
If a fuse has blown, replace the fuse accord-
ing to the following procedure.
1.
Turn the main switch to the "
position.
2.
Remove the fuse box cover.
3.
When replacing the engine main fuse or
isolator fuse, remove the screws, and
then remove the fuse. Install the spare
engine main fuse, and then tighten the
screws.

When replacing a fuse other than the en-
gine main fuse or isolator fuse, remove
the fuse using the fuse puller. Install a
spare fuse of the proper amperage.

Consult your Yamaha dealer if the new fuse
immediately blows again.

Power trim and tilt will not operate
If the engine cannot be tilted up or down with
the power trim and tilt because of a dis-
charged battery or a failure with the power
trim and tilt unit, the engine can be tilted man-

ually.

Loosen the manual valve screw by turn-

ing it counterclockwise until it stops.

Put the engine in the desired position,
then tighten the manual valve screw by
turning it clockwise.
