Commissioning of the appliance/
Introduction
• Choose an adequate location for the appliance. A
dry, level, non-slippery surface is ideal.
• Pay attention that the appliance has sufficient venti-
lation!
• If applicable, remove the protective foil from the
appliance.
Power supply
1. Make sure the main voltage corresponds to the
specifications on the type plate.
2. Connect the supplied power cable with the AC con-
nection (20) on the back.
3. Insert the power plug into a properly installed
socket.
4. Switch the power button to "ON" (19a).
5. To turn off the appliance, set the power button to
"OFF" (19a).
NOTE:
If the appliance is not to be used for a longer period
of time, switch the power button to "OFF" and pull
the power plug from the socket.

Battery operation

You can also operate the appliance with the installed
battery.
General information
• Fully charge the battery before operating the appli-
ance with the battery.
• Avoid complete discharge of the battery.
• Fully recharge the battery again after every use.
• The battery must be charged as soon as an operat-
ing status LED (2-5) blinks.
Charging the battery
1. Connect the supplied power cable with the AC con-
nection (20) on the back of the appliance.
2. Insert the power plug into a properly installed
socket.
3. Switch the power button to "ON" (19a). Now the
battery is charging.
4. After the battery is fully charged, the
light goes off.
5. If you want to operate the appliance with the inte-
grated battery, set the power switch to "ON" (19a)
and remove the power cable. If a power cable is
connected, the appliance is automatically operated
with AC-mains voltage.
Depending on the battery capacity, charging the bat-
tery for the first time will take up to 10 hours.
NOTE:
The internal battery is consistently charged during
power supply operation (maintenance charge).
ATTENTION:
Never leave the appliance unattended during the
charging process.
NOTE:
• If the appliance is not used for a longer period of
time, charge the battery at least every 6 months.
The battery discharges continuously even if the
appliance is turned off.
• Do not overcharge the battery (longer than 24
hours). Overcharging or using the appliance in
battery operation until the battery is completely
empty may damage it.
• Keeping the battery charged at all times prolongs
the battery lifetime.
• However, battery performance may diminish
slightly over time.
• The integrated battery CANNOT be replaced by
the user.
