Always switch off the units to be connected before
connecting them!
1) Connect the video source to the input jack
COMPOSITE (5) or S-VIDEO (6). If different video
sources are connected to the two inputs, use the
OSD menu to switch from one to the other.
2) Connect the monitor to the jack MONITOR (8).
3) Connect the VGA output of a PC to the jack VGA (7)
if it is to be operated alternately with the converter
on a single monitor.
4) Connect the low voltage plug of the power supply
unit to the jack 5 V /500 mA (9) and the power
supply unit to a mains socket. Thus, the unit is
switched on; the POWER LED (1) will light up.
5 Operation
If the status LED CONVERSION (1) does not light up,
the signal of the input VGA is directly fed to the output
MONITOR (PC feed-through mode). This signal will
not be affected by any adjusting possibilities of the
converter.
1) Activate the converter with the button
status LED CONVERSION (1) will light up. Now the
converted video signal will be displayed on the
monitor. For a few seconds, information concerning
the input currently selected (COMPOSITE or
S-VIDEO) and the video standard of the signal
applied (PAL or NTSC) will be inserted in the picture.
If there is no signal at the input selected, "NO SIG-
NAL" will be inserted instead of the video standard.
Besides, the status LED SIGNAL (1) will not light up.
2) To switch between the two video inputs, call the
OSD menu (⇒ chapter 5.1).
3) To return to the PC feed-through mode, press the
button
once again.
5.1 Settings in the OSD menu
Call the main menu in the converter mode with the but-
ton

menu will automatically disappear.

OSD Mode will define the type of insertion of the OSD
menu: with a white background covering the picture
(NOP or OR), with a transparent background (AND), or
with a negative picture section behind the menu inser-
tion (XOR).
With the function Sharpness activated (ON), the
contours of the video picture will be defined more

In case of fast movements in the video picture, the
function Motion allows to adjust a steady picture. With
