INSTALLATION
1. Power supply
The MTS Rolling Stock decoder
receives power and commands
from the tracks. Connect the track
power terminals (marked "GL" in
Fig. 1) to the tracks. Power sup-
ply: 0-24 volt DC or digital AC
(MTS).
Attention! For cars with multiple
power pick-ups, make sure that all
connections have the same polarity.
Attention! For cars with 5 volt
lighting circuits, the electronics
must be removed and replaced
with the 55034. The 55034 sup-
plies the correct voltage to the
lights.
Hint: The 67403 Ball Bearing
Wheelsets have integrated power
pickups.
2. Functions
The MTS Rolling Stock decoder
has two sets of terminals (Fig. 1
marked "L1" and "L2"), each for a
separate circuit. You can connect
electric devices to each set of ter-
minals, for example, interior
and/or marker lights.
Hint: The output of the MTS
Rolling Stock Decoder is factory
pre-set to 5 volts. For lights with
higher voltages, reprogram regis-
ters CV 49 (terminal L1) and/or
CV 50 (terminal L2) (see Pro-
gramming functions).
Attention! Each terminal of the
55034 can handle currents of up
to 0.8 amps. Both terminals com-
bined can handle currents of up to
1 amp.
Caution! When testing the MTS
Rolling Stock Decoder, we recom-
mend using a small LGB trans-
former (for example, with 1 amp
current). In case of wiring mis-
takes, it is less likely that the
decoder will be damaged.

with the MTS throttle.
- Press one button (factory pre-
set: lighting button 9) to switch
terminal L1 (Fig. 1) on or off.
- Press one button (factory pre-
set: function button 1) to switch
terminal L2 (Fig. 1) on or off.
Hints:
- With a 55010 Train Mouse, the
terminals are controlled via the
lighting and function buttons.
