Connecting the drive

You can connect the drive to the personal computer using the supplied USB
cable.
Notes
• Place the drive on a flat surface.
• Do not connect the drive to an external USB hub.

Tip
• When connecting the drive to the personal computer for the first time, it may take a
moment for the drive to be recognized.
• The personal computer illustration in this manual may appear different from your
model. For USB port, refer to the manual provided with your personal computer.
After connecting the drive, double-click "Computer", then check that the
"Local Disk (F :), etc." is added to "Computer". (only for use with
Windows Vista)
* "F:" is a name assigned to the drive, it may change depending on the personal
computer.
