6. Operation





1. Press the power button to switch on the meter.
2. Select the temperature unit and suitable measuring mode (please refer
to the list on the product's page on www.velleman.eu).
3. Push the measurement probes about 5 mm deep into the material to
be measured. The display shows the measured value.
4. Press the MAX/MIN to display the maximum and minimum measured
values. Press again to go back to the normal measurement mode.
5. Briefly press the backlight button to switch the scan or hold mode.
Keep the button pressed to switch the backlight on or off.
6. Press the on-off button to switch off the meter. Place the protection
cap over the measurement probes.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance

 Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use
alcohol or solvents. Do not submerge the device in any liquid.
 Store the meter in a dry place away from humidity and vibrations.
 Remove the battery when the meter is to be stored for long periods of
time.

This moisture meter has a temperature
compensation function. If the meter is used in
an ambient with a wide temperature
difference, please leave the meter to rest for
30 minutes until it has reached room
temperature.
For the best results, the probes should be
inserted perpendicular to the wood's fibre
structure.
This meter has been calibrated before delivery.
Do not revise the calibration parameters
without professional equipment and qualified
personnel.
Protect the device and probes from (corrosive)
liquids.
The probes are extremely sharp. Use the
meter with care and always protect with its
cap.
