Operation

With the ON/OFF / EMERGENCY unit, the machine is switched on and off. For this, the
EMERGENCY-STOP-cap must be unlocked. Note: Press the switch only after you have chosen the
direction of rotation and spindle speed.

14.2.1 Spindle speed

The exact cutting speeds are given in the specifications of the drill manufacturers. Basically the
following rule of thumb applies:
As smaller the hole, as higher the rotation speed.
To achieve a good result is also:
1. Lift the PULLEY COVER (1).
2. Loosen the Thumb Nut. The BELT TENSION (3) should release.
3. Move the V-belt to the desired level (speed) on the pulleys.
4. Push the Motor backward and hold. Retighten the Thumb Nut.
5. Close the Belt PULLEY COVER.
With the 2-speed-switch the speed can be changed from slow (1) to fast (2)
With the direction switch can be the running direction changed
L: left
R: right
If change the direction always switch first to position 0 and wait till the
spindle stands still!
