Règles simples pour un calcul approximatif. Voir
le Tableau 1.
1) Au niveau de la mer, la hauteur minimale est
de 12 pi (30 cm) en ligne droite.
2) Ajoutez la hauteur verticale suivante pour
compenser pour chaque :
Coude 45 deg = 1 pi
Coude 90 deg = 2 pi
Té
= 3 pi
Chaque pied de tuyau horizontal = 2 pi.
3) À cela, ajoutez 4% du total pour chaque 1000
pi au-dessus du niveau de la mer.

Draft is the force which moves air from the appliance up through the chimney. The amount of draft
in your chimney depends on the length of the chimney, local geography, nearby obstructions and
other factors. Too much draft may cause excessive temperatures in the appliance and may cause
damage. An uncontrollable burn or excessive temperature indicates excessive draft. Inadequate
draft may cause back puffing into the room and plugging of the chimney. Inadequate draft will
cause the appliance to leak smoke into the room through appliance and chimney connector joints.
Ensure the heater is installed in areas that are not too close to neighbors or in valleys that would
cause unhealthy air quality or nuisance conditions.
