Thick mixtures will be mashed up more efficiently if the blender jug is only
quarter- or half-full.
Never use metal kitchen utensils or tools, they might damage or scratch the
blades and the blender jug.
Do not blend thicker mixtures for more than 10 seconds. Even a normal
blending process should not take longer than 60 seconds. Should the
ingredients require a longer blending time, switch the blender off after
60 seconds, pull the plug, wait for the blades to come to a full stop and
and stir the ingredients by hand with a plastic spatula before restarting
the blender. This pause will prevent the motor from overloading.
This blender is not suited to kneading dough or pureeing resp. mashing pota-
toes.
When processing slightly warm ingredients, do not put more than 2 cups of
them into the blender jug per session. Place a kitchen towel on the lid and hold
the lid with your hand.
Never blend hot or boiling ingredients. They should always be handwarm
resp. cooled down to room temperature before being filled into the blender jug.
This is a safety measure to prevent hot steam from loosening and lifting the lid.

Warning:
To protect the motor, please do not keep on using the appliance after
the automatic overload protection has been triggered.
In this case, switch the appliance off with the turn-switch (OFF position), pull the
power plug and remove the blender jug or blender cup. Wait 30 minutes to let
the appliance cool down. Do not place the blender jug/blender cup on the motor
base during this time, as the appliance could suddenly start when the overload
protection is reset. Then, plug the power plug back into the power outlet and
restart the appliance.
If the motor has cooled down enough, your appliance will restart and you can
keep using the blender as described in this manual.
The motor can overload if the blender jug/blender cup has been too heavily filled
or if it has blended for too long. In this case, reduce the amount of ingredients
or repeatedly pause during blending to allow the motor to cool down in order
to prevent overheating.
Complying to the MAX marking reduces the risk of overloading the motor.
However, especially hard foods might still cause an overload. If you notice the
motor stalling or running slowly, only blend for 10 seconds at a time or reduce
the amount of ingredients. Also, adding liquids might loosen up a tough mixture.
