Measurements using HPM clima taking into account the
ambient temperature - item no. 60 83 03
1. Measure the ambient temperature using the HPM clima
climate measuring device.
2. Enter the measured ambient temperature in °C via the
HPM contact moisture measuring device menu.
3. Measure the material moisture (as part of moisture mea-
surements on wood only) using the HPM contact and obtain
even more precise measurement results by taking into
account the ambient temperature.

Maintenance

The HPM contact is a low-maintenance device. However, you
should follow these simple guidelines to ensure best possible
performance.
1. Always handle the device carefully. It is a measuring instru-
ment with sensitive electronics.
2. Avoid exposing the device to shock, continuous vibration or
extremely hot and cold temperatures.
3. Keep the device indoors at all times. When it is not in use,
always keep the device in its protective holster.
4. Keep the device away from dust and moisture. Clean with
a clean and soft cloth only. If needed, use a gentle cleaning
agent on the device's surface only.
5. Check the batteries regularly to avoid premature aging. If
you will not be using the device for an extended period of
time, always remove the batteries.
6. Replace the batteries when the battery charge message on
the LCD display is "empty".
7. Do not disassemble the device.
8. Do not attempt to modify any part of the device.
