ENGLISH
The RF9575 is a battery-operated wireless device that will operate as an
accessory or controller device in a Z-Wave network. It will control associated
dimmers or switches and their lighting loads. As a controller it will create a
network and add an ASPIRE RF switch or dimmer to control (On/Off/ Dim/
Brighten) the lights. You can create a 3-way where a second location is not
currently available without having to add new electrical wiring.
This product works with other Z-Wave products from different vendors and
product categories as part of the same network. This product is not a listening
node as it is a battery powered device and goes to sleep to conserve battery
life. Therefore it will not perform the repeater function typical of other
Z-Wave devices.
BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT:
2 CR2025 batteries are included with each RF9575. Lift the battery latch with a
screwdriver to open the battery cover. Remove the plastic strips from under
the batteries. Observe polarity when installing the batteries. Be careful to insert
the batteries under the 4 small plastic tabs in
the battery compartment. Re-latch the battery
cover.

one minute to conserve battery life. When not
installed, pressing the ON/OFF button again will
wake up the device, and the LED will resume
blinking for one minute to remind the installer
that the device is still not installed in the RF network. With normal usage (up to 20
keypresses per day) battery life is expected to be 1-2 years.
PHYSICAL INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Attach the RF9575 to any flat surface using the double-sided tape provided, or
mount it to the wall using the screws and anchors provided. To install the RF9575
beside an already existing wall mounted device, use one RFBS22 inner wallplate
for every existing installed device and the appropriate multi-gang ASPIRE
wallplate (9521, 9522, 9523, 9524, 9525 or 9526). NOTE: Do not install an RF9575
over an electrical box. The device must be installed onto a flat surface. Do not
install on a metal surface since this will impede the RF signal.
Z-WAVE NETWORK INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
This product will operate in one of two modes: It may be added to a Z-Wave
network as an accessory device, or it may be used as a Z-Wave controller to
form a new small Z-Wave network.
INSTALLATION AS A CONTROLLER DEVICE:
The RF9575 can be used as a controller which can install and control other
Z-Wave devices such as switches, receptacles, or dimmers. All hard wired
devices must be physically installed and powered up first before using the RF9575
to access them.
To add a device to the network, follow these steps:
1. Click RF9575 On/Off button 3 times within 1 second. LED will start to blink very
rapidly.
2. Press install button on device to be added.
3. When installation is complete, the LED will quit blinking on the RF9575 and on
the installed device.
4. Repeat 1 - 3 for each additional device to be added. A maximum of 5 devices
can be added to the network.
To remove a device from the network, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the RF9575 On/Off button for about 5 seconds until the LED
starts blinking very rapidly, then release the On/Off button.
2. Press install button on device to be removed.
3. When remove is complete. the LED will quit blinking on the RF9575, and the
LED on the uninstalled device will start blinking.
4. Repeat 1 - 3 for each additional device to be removed.
INSTALLATION AS AN ACCESSORY DEVICE:
The RF 9575 can be used as an accessory device which can be included in a new
or existing network by using your Z-Wave controller. To include as an accessory
device, select the command on your controller for inclusion (Install, Add Device,
Add Node, Include Device, etc.), then press the RF9575 on/off button one time to
include it in the network. The LED will blink a few times and then stop blinking
after the device is successfully included in the network.
After inclusion in a network, the RF9575 can then be associated with and control
up to 5 other hard-wired RF devices at one time. During the association process,
the Eaton Handheld or Table Top Controller (or other Z-Wave system controller if
so configured) will prompt the user to wake up the RF9575, which will then allow
the association process to occur. To wake the RF9575 press the dim down or up
button once. (For detailed instructions refer to the ASPIRE RF manual included
with the Handheld (RFHDCSG) or Table Top (RFTDCSG) controllers. Alternatively,
other Z-Wave control systems can be used to install the RF9575 into a Z-Wave
network. Please refer to the documentation for these systems.
To exclude this device from a Z-Wave network, select the command on your
Z-Wave controller for exclusion (Uninstall, Remove Device, Remove Node,
Exclude Device, etc.), then press the on/off button one time to exclude it from the
network. The LED will start blinking rapidly and then blink slowly about 10 times.
