EAGLETONE 250 SCAN
INSTALLATION
• This light can be installed anywhere, provided a minimum
radius of 1 m is allowed between it and any surrounding
objects or people. The light must be safely and securely
fixed in place and correctly earthed.
• Make sure the local voltage and frequency are suitable for
this unit.
• The EAGLETONE 250 SCAN is turned on as soon as it is
correctly connected. Once on, the mechanism will move
into its initial position. The lamp will shut off automatically,
and the mini-step motor will turn to its limit point. The
internal calibrating system will memorize the position of
the motor.
• DMX 512 CONNECTION. The unit can be controlled via the
DMX 512 standard signal, using DMX cables (of 100/120
Ω impedance) equipped with 3-pin XLR input and output
connectors (caution: a microphone cable does not have the
same impedance nor the same bandwidth, it will therefore
generate errors).
• The signal cable should be less than 100 m, in order to
protect the signal. If the signal cable is too long, it will pick
up unwanted interferences generated by other pieces of
equipment. Make sure to end the DMX line furthest from
the controller with a 120 Ω termination resistor (connected
to pins 2 and 3 of the XLR connector) in order to absorb
signal reflections.
Note: When you are using a controller, each light has its own
digital address number, utilizing a 4 band signal. Therefore,
the first light's address number should be set to 1, the second
light should have its digital starting number set to 5, the third
light's should be set to 9, and so on. (This setting method
should be adapted to the type of controller being used and
is given as a general indication. If you are using a 192 DMX
controller, then calculate the values in sets of 6.)
