LED 2 (red) lights up when connector is
plugged in.
• The cutting unit is worn.
• The quality of the cutting surface is unaccept-
able.
• Replace the cutting unit (see point 10).

a Use the position/insertion aid to place the
plug in the crimping station.
b Press down on the position/insertion aid
against the locator and parallel to the tool.

a Position the plug so it is flush with the loca-
tor.
b Operate the tool with the position/insertion
aid inserted in order to secure the plug in
the tool.
c The LED 1 (green) flashes when the plug is
properly secured.
d Then pull the position/insertion aid from the
tool.
e Do not close the tool any further.
If you cannot pull out the position/insertion aid
after you have pressed the tool, then use the
release mechanism to open the tool (as de-
scribed in point 9)!

a Pull the POF fibres through the plug up to
the end stop until it protrudes from the side
of the tool.
b Operate the tool and remove the crimped
connector when the tool is opened.

a Position the crimping sleeve in the crimping
die so that the plug housing is outside of the
tool frame.
b Operate the tool and remove the crimped
connector when the tool is opened.

Releasing the ratchet lock
The ratchet built into the tool ensures that the
crimping is carried out with constant force and
that the tool can only be opened after the crimp-
ing process is complete.
