Mattress replacement system
The ConformX
foam mattress replacement off ers pressure redistribution. The system comprises
®
a visco elastic top surface and a fl at high resilience polyurethane foam bottom surface with a
2-way stretch, vapour permeable, water resistant cover.

Indications for Use
ConformX mattress replacement is indicated
for users up to 150 kg (330 lb). Suitable for
a wide range of patients including those
with superfi cial ulcers (in association with an
individualised plan of care).
Note: These are guidelines only and should
not replace clinical experience or judgment.
If there is no improvement in the patient's
condition, specialist advice should be sought.
WARNING
The cover of this product is vapour permeable but
not air permeable and may present a suff ocation
risk. It is the responsibility of the care giver to
ensure that the user can use this product safely.
Instructions for Use
Mattress replacement system:
1.
Remove all packaging.
2.
Lay the ConformX 2-way mattress
replacement system onto the bed frame,
ensuring that there are no sharp edges
which might rip the cover.
CAUTION
Do not use the mattress without a cover. It provides
a protective barrier against biological contamination
of the foam and extends the life of the product.

Ensure the correct month is showing on
the Turntable
cover. If the incorrect month is showing,
rotate the mattress to show correct month
at the foot end. Months are indicated as
follows:
1/12 = January
2/12 = February, etc.

Use the Turntable indicator as a guide for
the monthly rotation and turning of the
mattress. This helps to even out wear of
the mattress and to extend the life of the
product.
Alignment of the bed frame, safety sides and
the mattress should leave no gap wide enough
to entrap a patient's head or body, or to allow
egress to occur in a hazardous manner where
entanglement with the mains power cable and
tubeset or air hoses may result. Care should
be exercised to prevent occurrence of gaps by
compression or movement of the mattress. Death
or serious injury may occur.
