Transport, handling and storage

The enclosures should be handled with care; any damage may invalidate
the certification.
Where possible the enclosures should be transported and stored in their
original packaging.
The enclosures should only be transported when the door is secured by
the locking devices.
If it is necessary to transport the enclosures whilst they are lying flat
(lid facing up), the rear face should be fully supported.
The enclosures should preferably be stored in the correct orientation with
the door secured to prevent any ingress whilst in storage, if it is necessary
to store the enclosures laying down (resting on the rear face) then the
points below should be observed.
- For larger enclosures, sizes from 1000mm x 800mm and larger special
caution should be taken when moving the enclosures to avoid any undue
skewing of the cabinets:
- If the enclosure is resting on its rear face the lid should not be left
unsupported in the open position, note: the door stay fitted on larger
enclosures is only designed to be used with the enclosure in the correct
orientation.

6.1 Installation / assembly

For installation, assembly and operation, the respective national
regulations as well as the general rules of engineering shall be observed.
The electrical connection may only be carried out by skilled
personnel accordance to IEC/EN 600479-14.
Incorrect installation and use of the empty enclosure can invalidate
the guarantee .
Painted enclosure:
The intended use does not include applications with high-charging
processes. Those could be for example high-voltage sources generat-
ing ion-winds or pneumatically transported dust atmospheres in
touch with the enclosure.
When a hinged lid is fitted, the enclosure shall only be mounted in a
vertical orientation on a flat surface, and care is required in the installation
process and when opening the hinged lid to ensure the enclosure does not
distort.
When a fully bolted lid is fitted, the enclosure may be mounted in any
orientation but it shall be on a flat surface. Care is required in the
installation process to ensure the enclosure does not distort.
Distortion will affect the sealing faces.
6.2
Mounting
The empty enclosure can be mounted without opening the enclosure.
Empty enclosures are intended for wall mounting. They may only be
affixed at the given points and shall be positioned evenly.
The screw used shall fit the fixing hole and must not damage it
(e.g. use of washer).
The details of the internal/external earth stud assemblies can be found in
Fig. 6.1.
