- Page 3 For bearings with oil mist lubrication systems, the motor must be stored horizontally, independently from the mounting configuration, with ISO VG 68 oil in the bearing, (the amount is indicated in the motor manual available on the website www.weg.net) and the shaft must be turned weekly. If motors with open bearings are stored longer than six months, the bearings must be relubricated with the amount of grease indicated on the nameplate before the commissioning of the motor.
- Page 4 For motors with degree of protection IP56, IP65 or IP66, the drain plugs must remain at closed position, being opened only during the motor maintenance procedures. "Automatic" rubber drain plugs are designed for one use only and cannot be reused. If any drain plug is removed for any purpose, it must always be replaced by a new one.
- Page 5 For Flameproof motors, special care should be taken with the machined surfaces of the flame path. These surfaces must be free of burrs, scratches, etc. that reduce the flame path length and increase the gap. For any repair, contact WEG. The gaps between terminal boxes and the respective terminal box covers should not exceed the values specified in Table 6.

Los motores siempre deben estar posicionados de forma que el drenaje sea facilitado (en el punto mas bajo del motor). Motores con drenaje de goma “abierto / cerrado” salen de la fabrica en la posicion cerrado y deben ser abiertos periodicamente para permitir la salida del agua condensado.

- Page 15 Korrosionsschutz am Wellenende und an dem Flansch nur kurz vor der Aufstellung des Motors entfernen. Falls nicht anders, als im Auftrag vereinbart, werden der Antriebswellen von WEG- Motoren immer mit halber Passfeder dynamisch ausgewuchtet, geliefert. Auch die Übertragungselemente, wie Riemenscheiben, Kupplungen, usw. müssen vor dem Anbau an die Motorwelle entsprechend ausgewuchtet werden.
- Page 16 Fällt das Kühl- und das Druckölschmiersystem während des Betriebes aus, muss der Motor sofort abgeschaltet werden. Nach Erreichen des Stillstandes der Maschine muss das Kühl- und das Druckölschmiersystem (wenn vorhanden) abgeschaltet und die Stillstandsheizung eingeschaltet werden (wenn vorhanden). Treten bei der Ausführung dieser Arbeiten Zweifel auf, ist die nächstliegende zugelassene WEG- Kundendienststelle anzusprechen.

- Page 27 De motor dient altijd zo te worden geplaatst dat de afvoerplug in de laagste stand "open/gesloten" staat. Rubber aftappluggen worden geleverd in gesloten positie en dienen periodiek te worden geopend om de afvoer van het condenswater mogelijk te maken. Voor omgevingen met een hoogwater condensatieniveau en een motor met beschermingsklasse IP55 dient de aftapplug te zijn gemonteerd in open positie.
