13. Do not use the appliance outdoors or in moving vehicles or
boats.
14. Your Solis ice cream machine is equipped with a compressor
that always has to be in an upright position. Therefore, the
appliance must not be tilted to a degree exceeding 45°. Never
separate the appliance from its feet and always place it on
the feet with the filler opening facing up. If the appliance is

tilted by accident or during use or if it has been turned upside
down, leave it standing on its feet for at least 3 hours before
switching it on again.
15. You should not operate the POWER button at short intervals to
save the compressor. Always keep a break of 5 minutes before
switching the appliance back on.
16. Always unplug the appliance if it is not in use or left unat-
tended, and before cleaning. This also applies if you move,
assemble, disassemble or store the appliance. We recommend
the use of a residual current device (RCD safety switch) to
provide additional protection during the use of electrical appli-
ances. It is advisable to use a safety switch with a rated residual
operating current of 30 mA maximum. For professional advice
consult an electrician.
17. Do not make any adjustments to the appliance, cable, plug or
accessories.
18. Improper use creates the risk of injury! No liability is assumed
in the case of potential damages or injuries.
19. Never take hold of an appliance that has fallen into water or
another liquid. Always use dry rubber gloves to pull the power
plug before taking it out. Do not use the appliance again until
you have had it's ability to function safely checked by Solis or
a Solis approved service centre.

20. Never place the appliance in such a way that it might fall into
water or come into contact with water or another liquid (e.g.
in or next to a sink).
21. Never submerge the appliance, power cable or plug in water,
or bring it into contact with water or other liquids.
22. Place the appliance so that it is never exposed to direct sun-
light.
23. Never insert sharp or pointed objects or tools into the appli-
ance openings or reach into them with your hand. The appli-
ance might be damaged resp. risk of electric shock and injury!
24. Never shake, move or lift the ice cream machine while it is in
use.
25. Only use the appliance as described in this manual. Only use
with the provided accessories or accessories recommended by
Solis, incorrect accessories or misuse can lead to damage of the
appliance, to fire, electric shock or personal damage.
26. Never start the appliance using a remote control or external
timer.
27. This appliance is only for household use and is not suitable
for commercial use.
28. Remove and discard all packaging materials and potential
stickers or labels (except for the type plate) before using the
appliance for the first time.
29. Check the appliance before each use and ensure that the ap-
pliance, power cord and plug are not damaged and no parts
have come loose.
30. In order to avoid electric shock, do not use the appliance if the
power cord or plug are damaged or the appliance is otherwise
faulty, dropped or damaged or if parts have come loose. Never
attempt repairs yourself, but take your appliance to Solis or
