USER TIPS
Cycling
Riding a two-wheeled cargo bike is much like riding a regular bicycle. The steering movement
is pretty much the same, only the front wheel is located farther away from you than the front
wheel on a regular bicycle. Look straight ahead while cycling, don't look at the front wheel.
Kickstand
To put the Babboe cargo bike on the kickstand, position yourself on the left-hand side
of the handlebar beside the bike. Turn the handlebar away from you to create space for
your body. Make sure to stand close to the handlebar/kickstand. Put your foot against
the protruding part of the kickstand and pull the handlebar of the cargo bike towards
you using both hands. The Babboe cargo bike is now firmly placed on the kickstand and
children can get in or out of the box. To take the cargo bike off the kickstand, hold the
handlebar with both hands and push the Babboe cargo bike forward. The kickstand will
now fold up. The kickstand will remain in this position while cycling.
Adjusting the handlebar
It is possible to adjust the height and angle of the handlebar. Loosen the handlebar stem
and place the handlebar in the desired position. Then tighten the handlebar stem.
Tyre and spoke tension
In order to continue cycling in a comfortable and light way, the tyre pressure should remain
at a normal level. This means a tyre pressure of 3.5-4 bar. The harder the tyres, the more
comfortable and lighter your ride on the Babboe cargo bike.
Check the tension of the spokes regularly. If they are 'loose', have them tightened by a
recognized bicycle shop or a Babboe mechanic.
Lighting
The Babboe cargo bike is equipped with both front and rear battery operated lighting
which can be controlled directly at the lights. The front lights have a flashing setting and a
continuous setting. Always opt for the continuous setting.
Accessories
There are several accessories available for Babboe cargo bikes. Babboe continues to
look for functional and fun accessories. We will keep you updated through the Babboe
newsletter when new accessories are available.
Regularly check the assortment of products on our website. In addition to fun and
functional accessories such as baby seats, toddler seats, cargo bike bags and a Maxi-Cosi
base, there are also accessories to protect the cargo bike such as a rain cover for the box
and the cargo bike cover which covers the entire cargo bike.
