• Do not open the front cover until the trimmer
disc has come to a complete stop.
• Never touch the trimmer disc while it is turning.
• Never work without the trimmer table installed.
The wider trimming gap represents a potential
source of injury due to the risk of small objects
or fingers being drawn into the trimmer.
• Always wear eye protection when trimming.
• Regularly inspect all connecting lines and
hoses (e.g., power cord and water hoses) for
damage (e.g., kinks, cracks, porosity).
• Units with damaged connecting lines or hoses,
or those which exhibit other defects may not be
used.
• Always disconnect the unit from the mains
power supply prior to performing any work on
electrical components.
• Only spare parts and accessories supplied or
authorized by Renfert GmbH may be used with
this product. If other spare parts or accessories
are used, this could have a detrimental effect
on the safety of the device, increase the risk
of serious injury and lead to damage to the
environment or the device itself.
• It is the responsibility of the operator that
national regulations during operation and
regarding a repeated safety inspection of
electrical equipment are complied with. For
Germany these are BGV A3 in relation with VDE
0701-0702.
3.3 Liability Exclusion
Renfert GmbH shall be absolved from all claims for
damages or warranty if:
• The product is employed for any purposes
other than those cited in the operating
instructions.
• The product is altered in any way other than
those alterations described in the operating
instructions.
• The product is repaired by other than an
authorized facility or if any but Renfert OEM
parts are employed.
• The product continues to be employed, despite
obvious safety faults or damage.
• The product is subjected to mechanical
impacts or is dropped.
4. Commissioning
4.1 Setting Up and Connecting
the Unit
1. Set the trimmer up on a level surface near the
sink / plaster separator.
2. Open the front door (Figure 1 + 2).
3. Install the trimmer disc.
• Mount the trimmer disc (Figure 3).
• Make sure the locking pins are properly seated in
the retention holes (Figure 3).

• Using the Allen key, turn the centring screw
clockwise to tighten it (Figure 4).
• Turn the disc by hand to make sure it is
running true (Figure 5). If the disc exhibits large
variations in height:
- remove it,
- turn it 180°,
- reinstall.
• Insert the M5 covering cap (from the mounting
hardware set) into the Allen screw to protect the
screw against contamination.
4. Mount the spray pipe on the water inlet (Figure 6).
5. Close the front door.
6. Adjust the trimmer table.
• Loosen the locknut (Figure 7-a).
• Precise adjustment(Figure 7-b):
- Clockwise – Increases the table angle;
- Counter clockwise – Decreases the table angle.
• Retighten the locknut (Figure 7-a).
7. Connect the drain hose (Figure 8 + 9).
8. Connect the drain hose to the waste water re-
moval system. Make sure the drain hose has an
adequate decline.
9. Connect the water supply hose (Figure 10).
10. C onnect the water supply hose to the water supply
(with a shut-off tap) (Figure 11-a).
11. T urn the water supply on (Figure 11-b).
12. C heck all water connections for leaks.
Before connecting the unit to the mains
power supply, compare the voltage
information on the nameplate with the
local power supply specifications.
13. P lug the unit's power cord into the wall outlet.
The MT2 is now ready for use
5. Operation
5.1 Model Trimming
Never trim without water
(risk of overheating)!
Always wear eye protection when
trimming!
1. Turn the water supply on (Figure 11-b).
2. Switch the trimmer on (Figure 12). Water is auto-
matically supplied via the valve.
3. The water volume can be adjusted at the reduc-
tion valve (Figure 13) located on the bottom left-
hand side of the unit.
4. Use both hands to hold the model securely on the
trimmer table (Figure 14-a).
5. Gently push the model against the trimmer disc
(Figure 14-b).
6. Always switch the unit off when you are done
trimming (Figure 15).
7. Turn the water supply off if the unit is to remain out
of service for an extended period of time
(Figure 11-b).
