General
These assembly instructions refer to this electrically adjustable desk / home office (hereinafter referred to as the "desk"). They contain important
information on how to install and use the desk.
Read the assembly instructions, especially the safety information, carefully before using the desk.
Failure to follow these assembly instructions may result in serious injury or damage the furniture. Any manipulation of the desk or improper use
may adversely affect safety, function and service life!
The assembly instructions are based on the standards and rules applicable in the European Union. If you are located outside the European Union,
please also observe the applicable national guidelines and laws.
These assembly instructions have been written on the basis of our current technical knowledge. We are constantly working on updating the
information and therefore reserve the right to make technical changes.
Keep these assembly instructions and pass on with the unit. These assembly instructions can also be obtained from our customer service
department as a PDF file.
Intended use
This desk is designed solely for use as an electrically operated height-adjustable sitting and standing workstation in enclosed spaces. The desk is
designed for use in private households and is not suitable for commercial use. Use the desk only as described in these assembly instructions.
Any other use is considered to constitute improper use and may cause material damage or even personal injury.
The desk is not a toy for children! Do not leave children unattended near the desk. Children are unable to assess the dangers arising from the
desk!
Never use the desk to lift persons or loads! Only load the desk up to the permitted maximum (see technical data).
The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper or incorrect use.

• Low Voltage Directive 73/23/EU
• Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336/EU
• EN 12100 Parts 1 and 2
Explanation of symbols
The following symbols are used in these installation instructions:
This signal indicates a medium hazard which, if not averted,
may result in death or serious injury.
This signal warns of possible property damage.
This signal gives you useful additional information on installation or use.
This signal indicates a possible danger of crushing. Failure to observe these instructions
may result in life-threatening injuries and damage to property.
This signal indicates possible dangers due to electricity.
Failure to observe these instructions may result in serious injury or death.
Safety information
Warning!
Keep small parts, packaging bags and film out of reach of
babies and small children. Risk of suffocating and swallowing!
Warning!
The product is not intended for use by small children or enfeebled persons without supervision.
Do not leave children unattended near the desk. Children cannot properly assess the dangers arising from the desk!
Risk of damage!
• Improper installation can lead to damage to the furniture.
• To avoid scratches, assemble the furniture on a soft surface (e.g. blanket).
• Ensure that there is no risk of obstruction if any objects, e.g. computer equipment, are located on the desk.
• Make sure that the application can move freely in both directions to avoid obstruction.
• Never expose the desk to high temperatures or extreme weather conditions.
• To avoid malfunction, all DESKLINE® repairs may only be carried out by authorised LINAK workshops or service personnel,
as special tools must be used and seals must be adjusted.
• Changes in the installation and application of LINAK products/systems may affect the operation and lifetime of the product.
The products must not be opened by unauthorised persons.
• The DESKLINE® systems are incompatible with cutting oil.
