When working, never move your hand or finger
ahead of the saw blade.
Keep the cutting path free of obstacles, both
above and below.
Only use sharp and flawless saw blades.
Only remove the saw blade from the cut when it
has come to a standstill (danger of kickback).
7. Working with the MATRIX Jigsaw
Wear gloves when you change or insert a saw
blade.
Put the saw blade into the lifting rod until it rea-
ches the stop position and with the teeth of the
blade pointing in the cutting direction.
Lock the saw blade firmly in position with the
accompanying hex wrench (10).
When inserting the saw blade, the back of the
blade must be in the groove of the support
roller.
When connecting a vacuum cleaner, connect
the 19 mm diameter vacuum hose directly, or to
the blow-out supports (7).
On/off switch (2)
Press the on/off switch to switch the jigsaw on.
For continuous operation, press the on/off
switch and then press the locking button (1).
To switch it off, release the on/off switch, or
alternatively press and release it.
Electronic Stroke-Rate Pre-selection (8)
You can use the stroke-rate setting wheel (8) to
set the stroke-rate before and during work.
Test the required stroke-rate before working on
the workpiece.
Stroke-rate Regulation
light pressure on the on/off switch (2) means
low stroke-rate
increasing pressure on the on/off switch results
in higher stroke-rate
Pendulum (5)
The pendulum makes it easier for the saw blade
to penetrate into the workpiece. Choose a
pendulum position that is small or 0 if the cut
should be finer. The softer the material is, the
higher the pendulum position can be.
Make some tests to determine the optimum posi-
tion.
Position 0: no pendulum
Position 1: small pendulum
Position 2: medium pendulum
Position 3: high pendulum
Setting the Cutting Angle (B2)
Loosen the retaining screw (11) of the shoe with
the accompanying hex wrench and swivel it to
the right or left by up to 45%, depending on the
desired cutting angle. Afterwards, tighten the
retaining screw again.
Sawing
Before sawing, make sure that the saw blade is
seated correctly.
Before working, put the saw's protective cover
down as far as possible.
The shoe of the jigsaw must lie securely on its
entire surface.
Don't exert excessive pressure in the cutting
direction.
Place thin material on an additional stabilising
plate.
When cutting metal, use a cooling agent like oil
or water. It reduces sawing friction and protects
the saw blade and motor.
For long cuts, lubricate the support roller now
and then with a few drops of oil and let the
machine cool down.
Wait until the saw blade has come to a standstill
before you put the machine down.
Vacuuming
Attach the suction hose of your vacuum cleaner
to the jigsaw's vacuum supports. - Use an
adapter if necessary.
Drawing down the protective cover (3)
improves the vacuuming efficiency.
Parallel Cutting Guide (6)
The accompanying parallel cutting guide is fed
through the two guides on the saw table and
attached with 2 screws.

8. Service and Maintenance

Before performing any work on the equipment,
pull the power plug.
Use a damp cloth to clean the plastic elements.
Do not use any cleansers, solvents, or pointed
objects.
