Rear Panel

1.
Main Out – Use standard 1/4" TRS cables to connect these outputs to your speakers. The Main Out signal
consists of the mixer channels (when Direct is enabled) and audio from your iPad. Adjust the signal level using
the Main Out fader.
2.
HPF – Press this button to send the channel's audio through a high-pass filter to reduce hum and other low-
frequency noise.
3.
Gain – Adjusts the input signal for the channel.
4.
Mic/Line Inputs – Connect a microphone to this input with an XLR cable or connect a line-level device to this
input with a 1/4" cable.
5.
Phantom Power Switches – Set these switches to +48V to activate phantom power, which supplies +48V to
the XLR mic inputs. One switch supplies +48V for Mic Inputs 1 and 2 and the other switch supplies +48V for
Mic Inputs 3 and 4. Most dynamic microphones do not require phantom power, but most condenser
microphones do. Consult your microphone's documentation to find out whether it needs phantom power or not.
Put these switches in the Off position when not using phantom power.
6.
Guitar Mic/Line Switch – When the switch is in the Guitar position, Channel Input 1 will have a higher
impedance for guitars or basses. When the switch is in the Mic/Line position, the channel will accept
microphone or line-level signals.
7.
Power Switch – Toggle this switch to power iO Mix on or off.
8.
Power Jack – Connect the included power adapter (15V, 2.5A, center-positive) here. When powered, iO Mix
will also charge a connected iPad.
