Using the kettle

1. Open the lid by pressing the lid button.
2. Fill the kettle with water to the desired level
(MIN 2 Cups / MAX 6 Cups).
3. Close the lid and place kettle on stand.
4. Use the power switch to switch kettle on. The
indicator lights turn on blue.
5. The kettle will switch off automatically, once
the water has boiled. The indicator light goes
out. Wait 15-20 seconds before operating
again.
Note
• You can stop the boiling process at any
time by pressing the power switch.
• When kettle is not in use, store excess cord
in or around the stand.

Cleaning and care

1. Unplug the kettle from the mains supply
and allow it to cool down.
2. Clean the stand with a slightly damp,
lint-free cloth. Do not immerse in water.
3. Empty the kettle, open the lid, lift out the filter
funnel and rinse it under warm water.
4. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents.
5. Refit in reverse order.
Descaling
1. As soon as you notice a film of chalk forming
on the walls or other elements, simply rinse
the kettle and wipe it out.
2. To reduce the build-up of scale residue, always
empty out any residual water after boiling.
3. If you decide to descale the kettle to remove
such residue, you must use a properitary
descaler brand, suitable for use in plastic-
bodied products.
4. Make sure the BRITA MAXTRA filter cartridge
is removed before descaling.
Before use, plug in the
kettle.
Fill the kettle with water
and close the lid.
Place kettle on stand.
The kettle switches off
automatically.
