Signal input monitoring
The switch amplifiers can be supplied with a device for
monitoring the signal inputs.
This monitoring device consits of the red LED display LED3.
It signals a short circuit and/or a brak in the signal input lines.
The statuses of the LED3, output contacts A1 and A2 and
LED1 and LED2 are given in Table 4 for a short or open-circuit
in relation to normal operation.
In order to make the input circuit monitor active, place the
configuration switch marked "
right
).
Fig. 11 shows the arrangement of the switch "
Note: With switch amplifiers acting together with (mechanical)
contacts in the control circuit, these contacts must be
preceded by resistors: one parallel resistor of 10 to 15 kΩ,
one series resistor of 1 to 2 kΩ (see Fig. 12).

11. Commissioning

The power supply unit must be capable of supplying
a brief current surge when switching on. The
transmitter presents a low impedance at the instant
of switching which requires a current of ...
... approx. 160 mA for the version with a power
supply range of 24 – 60 V DC/AC
... approx. 40 mA for the version with a power
supply range of 85 – 110 V DC / 230 V AC

12. Maintenance

No maintenance is required.

13. Releasing the amplifier

Release the amplifier from a top-hat rail as shown in Fig. 13.
