I collegamenti di segnale debbono essere eseguiti con cavi "low
noise" di buona qualità in modo da limitare perdite e rumori di
fondo indesiderati.
Il collegamento a cabinet necessita di cavo "speaker" di buona
qualità con sezione minima di 2 x 1mm.
N.B. Si consiglia l'utilizzo di effetti esterni (pedalini) alimentati
con batteria propria, in quanto garantiscono il massimo grado
di silenziosità.
ALIMENTATORE ESTERNO
L'alimentatore esterno inserito su PWR IN distribuisce la
tensione sulla Phantom Power e sul disaccoppiatore delle
uscite PWR FX dedicate agli effetti 9VDC. È così possibile
alimentare mediante cavetti con connessione DC 2.1mm gli
effetti a pedale. L'alimentatore da inserire deve avere le
seguenti caratteristiche:
# Basso fattore di rumore
# 9VDC con polarizzazione a negativo centrale
# Corrente adeguata al consumo complessivo.
Esempio:
Consumo pedaliera midi 400mA + consumo pedalino 1 > 50mA
+ consumo pedalino 2 > 70mA, etc. = 520mA + 20% (tolleranza
di sicurezza) = Alimentatore 9VDC 650mA.
Spesso accade che con l'utilizzo di alimentatori esterni alcuni
pedalini possono creare un fastidioso rumore di fondo ( loop di
terra ); a lato delle connessioni di ogni FX LOOP si trova il
selettore GND/LIFT, messo appositamente per eliminare
questo inconveniente.
ACCORDATURACON MUTE
Inserendo un accordatore su FX1 mediante singolo cavo
collegato a SND/TUNER, si rende possibile, alla pressione del
pulsante FX1 ( sul pannello frontale), la lettura dell'accordatura
in abbinamento al Mute dell'ampli; questa funzione può essere
memorizzata anche su preset.
Le prese MIDI permettono all'IMPERIUM di comunicare con
altre apparecchiature MIDI.
MIDI IN:
presa per il collegamento ad un qualsiasi controller
MIDI per la scelta dei preset; la presa è cablata per 7 poli ma
può essere usato anche un cavo midi standard a 5 poli: i due
poli addizionali servono per fornire la tensione virtuale al
controller.
MIDI THRU:
permette il trasferimento del segnale midi ad una
unità effetti esterna; questa uscita è concepita come "uscita
ripetitore" in modo da poter inviare il cambio di preset.

CONNECTIONS
Signal connections shall be carried out by means of good
quality "low noise" cables so to reduce the losses and the
undesired background noise.
The cabinet connection requires a good quality "speaker" cable
with a minimum section of 2 x 1mm.
Note: we recommend to use external effects (pedals) powered
by their own battery since they ensure maximum
noiselessness.
EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY UNIT (not included)
The external power supply unit inserted in PWR IN supplies
voltage for the Phantom Power and the decoupler of the PWR
FX outputs dedicated to the 9VDC effects. In this way, the pedal
effects can be powered by means of 2.1mm cables with DC
connection. The power supply unit to be inserted shall have the
following features:
# Low noise factor
# 9VDC polarization with negative pole in the centre
# Current suitable for the overall consumption.
Example:
Consumption of the midi footswitch 400mA + pedal 1
consumption > 50mA + pedal 2 consumption > 70mA, etc. =
520mA + 20% (safety tolerance) = 9VDC 650mA Power supply
unit.
Using external power supply units, some pedals often create an
irritating background noise (ground loop); next to the
connection of each FX LOOP the GND/LIFT selector has been
specially located to eliminate this problem.
TUNINGWITHMUTE
If a tuner is inserted on FX1 through one cable connected to
SND/TUNER, pressing the FX1 button (on the front panel)
tuning can be read in combination with amplifier Mute; this
function can also be stored on preset.
The MIDI sockets allow IMPERIUM to communicate with other
MIDI devices.
MIDI IN:
socket to connect to any MIDI controller for preset
selection; the socket has a 7-pole wiring, but also a 5-pole
standard midi cable can be used: the two additional poles are
used to supply the controller with the virtual voltage.
MIDI THRU:
effect device; this output has been conceived as "repeater
output", so that the preset change can be sent.
