Start-up
1 Cleaning
Clean the water tank, the brew head, the filter holder and the glass jug with drinking water.
Make sure that your mains voltage corresponds to the voltage of the coffee machine (see type
plate at the bottom of the appliance). Connect the coffee machine to the socket.
Fill the tank with drinking water up to the MAX mark. Place the empty glass jug at the centre of
the hotplate under the filter holder. Start a brewing cycle without ground coffee and without
filter (turn the button to the right until
2 Setting the water hardness
The harder your drinking water is, the more often you need to descale the coffee machine. The
coffee machine has been set to a medium water hardness of L2. Select L1 if the water is very
soft or L3 if it is very hard.
Turn the button to the left until the
