After use / How to remove deposit from the heater
Switch the device off and pull the plug
out of the mains socket
Remove steam hose and accessories,
then hold at an angle so that the conden-
sation can run out.
Roll up the mains cable according to the
diagram. Allow device to cool down com-
pletely
If the steam cleaner is not going to
be used for a longer period of time
(a few weeks/months) any residual
water in the boiler should be removed
completely.
Before opening the tank bring
pressure to zero and wait until the
appliance is cooled.
The heating element becomes covered
with lime due to the water and lime also
collects in the boiler, therefore the boiler
must be descaled from time to time. This
must be done no later than when the hea-
ting up time is longer than usual. To des-
cale the boiler, proceed as follows:
1 Remove steam pipe
2 Rinse boiler with clear water and empty.
3 Fill the boiler with approx. ½ litre of hot
water and approx. ½ glass of white
vinegar and allow to act for at least 1 to
2 hours or use a descaling agent com-
monly available for irons or coffee
machines. Use according to the manu-
facturers instructions.
4 Occasionally swing the device around a
little.
5 Then empty the boiler and rinse
thoroughly with clear water a number of
times until no more lime is rinsed out.
If the device is descaled regularly,
the electricity consumption will
remain low.
