• To give your fringe lift, wrap it around the barrel (in the direction of your scalp)
and let the InStyler rotate directly above the roots for a few seconds. Open the
appliance and allow your fringe to fall free from the barrel. (see illustration 14).
TIP: to achieve maximum body and volume, before using the InStyler, lightly spray
each section of hair from the roots to the tips with one pump of your favourite light
styling spray. Spritz from a distance of 20 – 25 cm in a single sweeping motion.

How to I use the InStyler in comparison to my hair straighteners?
The technique is similar in that you must put sections of hair into the InStyler and close
the styling tool on each section before slowly running it through the hair. However,
that is where the similarities end!! The rotating heated barrel and polishing bristles will
do most of rest of the work for you. You will also see just how much more you can do
with your InStyler than with your hair straighteners.
My hair looks frizzy after using the InStyler. What am I doing wrong?
Take your time. It helps if you completely dry, comb and detangle your hair as much
as possible. Position the InStyler so the barrel rotates with the direction of the hair.
Also bear in mind that you should be putting as little pressure on the barrel as pos-
sible. This will help keep the frizz to a minimum.
My InStyler does not seem to work in my hair. What am I doing wrong?
It is really important to go slowly when styling you hair using your InStyler. You will
soon see that you are likely to achieve your desired results when you work slowly with
the InStyler and do not try to pull it through the hair too quickly.
Do I have to dry my hair before Styling with the InStyler?
It is recommended that you dry your hair completely before using the InStyler. If you
start out with hair that is fully dry, the style will hold better and for longer. It takes
longer to style damp hair and the style will not hold as long as with dry hair.
Can I use styling product with the InStyler?
You can use all salon quality products with the InStyler but we recommend that you
avoid using any oil-based products with the appliance. A professional heat protec-
tion product can be used before styling as can a professional fixing or styling spray,
which can also be used to afterwards to hold the style in place.
The InStyler does not seem to work on the ends of my hair. What am I doing
wrong?
If your ends are not styling properly then let the InStyler work on them for a little
longer, to create a finished style. The ends of your hair are the driest and it can
sometimes be difficult to style them. It is helpful to use a good quality conditioner,
concentrating on the ends of your hair to restore moisture. Check that you do not
have any split ends as these will appear frizzy after using the appliance.
