CAUTION!
■ CAUTION! This grill gets very hot and may not be moved during use!
■ WARNING! Danger of carbon monoxide poisoning! Do not use in enclosed
spaces!
■ CAUTION! Do not use methylated spirit or petrol to light or relight! Only use
fi relighters in accordance with EN 1860-3!
■ Danger of burns! Be careful when inserting the fuel container. Do not reach into the
naked fl ame on the tray for fuel paste!
CAUTION: hot surfaces! The device will become very hot during use. Make
sure that you do not come into contact with heated parts while or after using
the device.
We recommend that you wear oven gloves when handling the device.
■ Danger of burns! Do not place any metal objects on or in the device. They may
become very hot.
The device is only suitable for use with charcoal. Do not use briquettes or
other fuels!
1. If you have not already done so, open up the device suffi ciently that the tray for fuel
paste (4) is accessible.
2. Fill the fuel container (3) with charcoal (max 170 g).
3. Apply a ring of fuel paste around 10 cm long onto the tray for fuel paste (4) (see pic-
ture). Leave a gap of around 2 cm around the outer edge of the tray for fuel paste (4).
4. Hold a burning match on the fuel paste until it catches fi re.
5. Turn the rotary knob (8) to the MAX position to switch on the fan. The fan display
lights up.
Note: The fan must be switched on before the fuel container (3) is placed on as oth-
erwise the fl ame will go out.
6. Place the fuel container (3) with the lid (2) carefully onto the tray for fuel paste (4). Do
not reach into the naked fl ame!
Only place on the items for grilling once the fuel is covered with a layer of
ash!
7. Place the grill rack (1) onto the drip tray (5) and secure it with the locking catches (10).
8. Place the items for grilling onto the grill rack (1) and cook them as you wish.
9. Do not leave the device unattended while it is operating and make sure that the items
for grilling do not burn.
The rotary knob (8) can be used to regulate the fan speed and therefore the heat.
10. Once the items for grilling are fully grilled, take them off the grill rack (1).
11. Switch the device off after grilling by turning the rotary knob (8) to the 0 position. The
fan display goes out.
12. Allow the device to cool down completely and then clean it thoroughly.
